Elbert County's Board of Commissioners (BOC)pumped the brakes on any future data center construction in Elbert County by approving a six-month moratorium on data center facilities.

The high temperature wasn't enough to stop the Jim-Ree Museum's annual Juneteenth Celebration. In addition to the festival on Elberton's downtown square, the Juneteenth parade carried on, with most of the participants choosing to beat the heat from inside their vehicles. (Photos by Mark Wells)
