Saturday morning celebration of 'Old Glory'

Flag Day celebration

U.S. Navy Commander Will Wiley (above, center) congratulated Elks Lodge No. 1100 Scholarship winners Jerome Larson (left) and Kimberly Dennis at Saturday’s Flag Day Celebration at Elbert County Comprehensive High School’s (ECCHS) activities center. At the right are members of the ECCHS JROTC’s Color Guard, who assisted with a program celebrating the historic flags of the United States. After the celebration the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) of the United States of America hosted a barbecue. Wiley, a 1996 graduate of ECCHS, was the featured speaker at the event.
